ChowSense is operated by ChowSense Limited. In this notice, ChowSense, we, us, and our refer to ChowSense Limited and the ChowSense application and services.
2. Information we use
Depending on the features you use, we may process your name and email address; cooking preferences, dietary choices, allergies, household information, and location choices; recipes, meal plans, saved meals, shopping lists, cooking progress, and content you submit; support requests; and technical information needed to secure, operate, and improve the app.
3. Why we use information
We use information to provide recipe discovery, meal planning, saved content, shopping lists, offline cooking, AI assistance, notifications, subscriptions, customer support, account security, fraud prevention, analytics where enabled, and service improvements. We use device permissions only for the feature that requires them and according to your device settings.
4. AI and cooking information
Information submitted to an AI cooking tool may be processed to generate the requested answer, recipe, meal plan, or cooking guidance. Do not submit information you do not want processed for that purpose. AI output is general cooking support and should be checked for allergens, nutrition, quantities, and food safety.
5. Storage and sharing
Some saved recipes and cooking information may be stored on your device to support offline cooking. Synced account information is transmitted to our services over authenticated connections. We may use providers for hosting, security, payments, notifications, analytics, and support. They may process information only to provide services to us. We do not sell personal information.
6. Subscriptions and payments
Payments and subscription transactions are processed through the applicable payment provider or app platform. ChowSense receives information needed to confirm entitlement, show billing history, provide receipts, prevent fraud, and support payment issues. Payment card details are handled by the applicable payment provider.
7. Retention and security
We retain information as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain security, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and enforce our agreements. We use reasonable safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
8. Your choices
You can manage notification and analytics preferences in the app, remove saved content, request support, and request account deletion through available account controls. Some information may be retained where required by law or necessary for security and dispute resolution.
9. Children
ChowSense is not directed to children who are not permitted to use the service under applicable law. Do not create an account or submit personal information if you are not legally permitted to use the service.
